Meet the Team is a recurring series on the PowerReviews blog, allowing you to get to know the people behind our success.
We recently sat down with Precious Witherspoon, our Office Manager and Executive Assistant, to chat about the key role she plays in helping to foster our unique company culture, how PowerReviews is different from other companies she’s worked for and, of course, her love of Beyonce.
How long have you been at PowerReviews
Just over a year.
What are your areas of responsibility at PowerReviews?
A few of my major responsibilities at PowerReviews consist of me managing the office and the needs of the staff. I handle all logistics for day-to-day operations and our special events, including our annual holiday party, summer outing, and many other events. My goal is to make sure everyone has what they need to work more efficiently. Our company culture is something we’re extremely proud of at PowerReviews, and I play a key role in making sure everyone has an awesome and enjoyable working environment.
What’s the best thing about working at PowerReviews?
The best part about PowerReviews is the great people I get to work with on a daily basis. I also love the company culture. Everyone is very passionate, smart, and really driven to perform at exceptional levels daily. The energy and support definitely make each day a new and exciting experience. We work really hard but we have a great time as well, and it’s truly a family environment.
What did you do before PowerReviews?
I worked at a museum and a radio station. Both companies provided me with new challenges and helped to increase my skill set, but they definitely had cultures quite different from PowerReviews. PowerReviews is so innovative and has a forward thinking-attitude; we’re always setting the bar higher. We are constantly working to be the best in every aspect and this drive and determination creates such a great energy that other companies don’t offer.
What has been your favorite experience working at PowerReviews?
Last year we hosted President Obama in our office. For me this was such an honor and a PHENOMENAL experience working with the secret service and all the different teams to make this possible. The entire staff was buzzing with excitement and it was truly one of the most memorable moments of my life and one that I will always cherish.
What’s a fun fact or hidden talent people might not know about you?
Outside of my sincere love for Beyonce (I LOVE Beyonce), I also really love old sitcoms, I can watch them for hours and hours. I also enjoy helping others and currently sit on multiple nonprofit boards.
