PowerReviews Expands Leadership Team With New Hires

Leading ratings and reviews provider continues growth with addition of top talent

September 30, 2014 – CHICAGO –PowerReviews, a provider of ratings, reviews and question-and-answer technology to more than 1,000 brands and retailers, announced today it has expanded its leadership team following the announcement of a $43 million funding round. The newly expanded team will prepare the company for significant growth. Todd Caponi joined as the SVP Sales; Theresa O’Neil, as the SVP Marketing; Kira Meinzer, as the VP Human Resources; Jackie Choy, as the VP of Finance and Marielle Lifshitz, as the General Counsel. They join CEO Matt Moog, CTO Jim Morris and Chief Customer Officer Matt Parsons, each of whom has more than eight years in their respective roles.

As SVP Sales, Caponi is charged with leading and educating the sales team to grow the PowerReviews client base. Prior to PowerReviews Caponi was Vice President, Strategic Accounts for ExactTarget, Salesforce.com’s digital marketing platform. With more than 20 years experience, Caponi is the recipient of an American Business Award “Gold Stevie” for his work at Right Hemisphere, a visualization software company.

O’Neil has more than 20 years of experience developing marketing and business development strategy for technology companies including IBM. As SVP Marketing, O’Neil oversees demand generation, corporate positioning, product marketing and brand-building initiatives.

As VP Human Resources, Meinzer is responsible for acquiring and retaining top talent and ensuring PowerReviews continues to be a great place to work. She comes to PowerReviews with 16 years of training and human resources experience from third party logistics companies such as AFN and C.H. Robinson and home appliance company Dyson.

Joining the team as VP Finance, Choy brings more than 25 years of financial experience, which was spent working for large companies such as Nestle and McKesson as well as providing financial guidance for several startups. Choy was the Controller of PowerReviews prior the to acquisition.

With a degree from the University of Chicago Law School and over 20 years of legal experience focused on acquisitions, financing, technology and advising emerging companies, Lifshitz joins the team as General Counsel. Prior to PowerReviews, she was General Counsel for Sun-Times Media and its parent company Wrapports, as well as a partner in the corporate department at Gardner, Carton & Douglas.
