PowerReviews June 2008 Newsletter

Greetings!

In June 2005 we launched PowerReviews with one goal in mind: to give merchants an effective way to boost sales and drive customer loyalty by empowering them to incorporate customer-generated reviews into their retail operations.

It’s been an exciting and successful three years for us. So far we have helped hundreds of online retailers not only make reviews an integral part of their online and offline strategies, including catalog, direct mail and in-store kiosks, but also realize their enormous benefits. And, after just a year, our reviews and recommendation site, http://www.buzzillions.com/, features more than 2 million reviews across 400,000 showcased products.

These past three years have been incredible — but they are only the beginning. So what’s ahead? Building on these successes, we have launched our international expansion efforts with key partners and clients throughout the world. Stay tuned, friends, as these next years promise to be just as exciting!

- Andy Chen, Founder and CEO

Going Global

PowerReviews is continuing our global expansion with an exclusive partnership with Venda - the largest and most comprehensive e-commerce platform provider in the UK. Venda has selected us to be their fully integrated provider of customer reviews to their 200+ clients, including some of the top retailers in Britain.

Climbing the Mountain

We’ve just released a case study highlighting our work with Mountain Gear, a national retail store providing quality outdoor gear and clothing. Mountain Gear pioneered new ways of leveraging review content throughout its marketing efforts by conducting an email campaign featuring Top Rated products based on feedback from actual purchasers, resulting in a:

  • 5-8% higher click-through rate.
  • 14-17% higher conversion rate for purchases.
  • 81-85% higher average order value (AOV).
