PowerReviews Names New Sales and Marketing Exec to Aid Its Expansion Effort
PowerReviews Inc. is going global and has promoted an executive and teamed with other e-commerce vendors to aid its international efforts.
The customer reviews technology provider has promoted Jay Shaffer to vice president, worldwide sales and marketing. The company also announced it has partnered with e-commerce vendors Venda Inc., Mercado and ChoiceStream Inc. to help it expand into Europe.
In his new role, Shaffer, previously vice president of sales and marketing at PowerReviews, will be responsible for creating global awareness and an international client base for the company.
"The expansion of Jay's role reflects our commitment to global markets in addition to U.S.-based retailers," says PowerReviews CEO Andy Chen. "Jay is a proven leader in the sales and marketing field, and has done a great job helping us increase our visibility domestically, and we are excited to have him bring his expertise and passion to the world stage and help spearhead our international growth."
Additionally, PowerReviews has signed deals with e-commerce platform provider Venda, online personalization provider ChoiceStream and site search technology provider Mercado to help it reach e-retailers throughout Europe.
UK-based Atomico was an investor in the company`s Series B funding round for its global expansion.
