Being verified simply means that we have confirmed your email address and that you submitted the review. What this really does is tell your fellow shoppers that you and your reviews are real and adds more credibility to your opinion.
When you read reviews on any site powered by PowerReviews, you may note a “Verified” designation next to some users’ names. This designation identifies individuals who have confirmed their email through our verification process. We will never publish or share a user’s real email address, and you will never see a user’s real email address on any site powered by us.
You can elect to become a Verified Reviewer with PowerReviews.com by first entering and subsequently confirming your e-mail address through our simple two-step registration process:
You enter your email address after you submit a review on any site powered by PowerReviews.com.
You receive an email sent to the address you entered, and click on the verification link within the email.
That’s it! Note that your email address is only used to contact you regarding the verification process, our policies, and reviews that you submit – we do not publish or share your email address.
Once you have completed the verification process, it is important that you associate your Verified Reviewer status with each review you submit by entering your verified email address after you finish submitting a review.
That’s up to you in some cases, and up to us in other cases. You can always choose to associate a new, unverified e-mail address with any review you submit, and not have the “Verified” designation next to it.
Alternatively, if you consistently submit abusive or frivolous content, we reserve the right to remove your Verified designation.
