Introducing the New PowerReviews

June 4, 2014 – CHICAGO – Consumer reviews platform Viewpoints has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PowerReviews from Bazaarvoice. With the acquisition, the companies will unite under the PowerReviews brand as a leader in the consumer engagement and customer reviews market.

The combined company will leverage PowerReviews’ technology, a Software-as-a-Service platform for consumer engagement in use at more than 1,000 leading brands and retailers.

The PowerReviews Consumer Engagement Engine brings together four key capabilities:

  • Customer reviews and questions and answers
  • Content origination and syndication
  • Product Review analytics, insights and ROI measurement
  • Services that help companies find new and better ways to blend together technology, data, content, design and marketing to increase consumer engagement

The experienced team of e-commerce, digital media and software professionals at PowerReviews will grow to more than 100 dedicated professionals. Moog will continue in his role as CEO. Jim Morris, founding CTO of PowerReviews, will become CTO of the new company, and Matt Parsons, former PowerReviews Vice President of Client Success, will assume the role of Chief Customer Officer. Chris Lubkert, previously with Viewpoints, will join the team as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations. The new company will be co-located in Chicago and San Francisco.
